A stunning set of three Victorian gilt-tooled leather-bound books of literature. Most exquisite detail to the covers, The Seven Seas by Rudyard Kipling, red leather-bound cover and marbled front and back, dated 1897. Lord Mayor of London by William Harrison Ainsworth, blue leather-bound cover, green and blue marbled front and back, presented to Marsden Gray for English, Christmas 1928 although I suspect the book is older. Finally, The Lay of the Last Minstrel by Sir Walter Scott Bart, dated 1825, brown leather-bound book with marbled front and back cover.
All three books are in very good condition.
These are original antique items and have had a previous life. They have age related imperfections, which adds to the charm and character.
